Candidate Introductory Letter
June 2010 PrimaryCandidate Letter sent March 2010
Dear Candidate
This is an invitation to you to use the resources of Siskiyou Media MCTV 15? to produce candidate sponsored videos at a special reduced professional production rate described towards the end of this letter. Professional production services normally charges upwards of $1,200 each for this type of service to produce a ten show television series, or a professionally edited promotional piece. This production services offer is available up until Monday, May 31, 2010 to produce media materials in preparation for the June 8th Primary Election.
In these scenarios, you would provide the content, i.e. interview format with a host of your choice. You could also appear alone on screen and speak to the issues however you wish. The show is recorded 'live', meaning that there are no additional fees for post production editing. Call to discuss additional costs should you desire a different scenario.
These videos can be used for:
- Candidate's submission to MCTV 15 for confirmed cable cast on Northland Cable Channel 15 in south Siskiyou County and live streamed over the Internet on our mctv15.org web site;
- Candidate's submission to YCTV 4? for cable cast on Northland Cable Channel 4 in north Siskiyou County - subject to their equipment and operator capability;
- Can be distributed in a DVD format by the candidate.
- General Public Access information for show submissions is available at: http://www.mctv15.org/Public/GetInvolved
- To balance competing candidates' programs airing during the same contract periods, candidate-sponsored program airing times will be adjusted by MCTV 15 staff to provide fair access to the viewership.
- Candidates are limited to airing a single candidate sponsored program during any given week, although it may be shown up to five times a week, for a four week cycle.
- Four week period begins the week the initial program airs.
- If a new program is introduced, it will replace the previous program, independent of its length, for a period no longer than four consecutive weeks, including the initial week.
- New programs will take precedence over any previous program broadcast by the same candidate. When a new program is introduced, the first programs' consecutive 4 week cycle will cease and a new, consecutive 4 week cycle run will begin.
- Broken week schedules are not permitted. Schedule runs Thursday afternoon - Thursday afternoon.
Charges are reduced for airing externally produced candidate submitted videos
